no parking lights

i installed some cab lights and a set of fog lights. spliced the brown cable so that they would be on the parking lights.. well they worked for the past two days.. i went to turn them on today and nothin.. but if i turn it all the way for the headlights i can get the headlights.. so i got home and moved the fog lights over to the headlight switch and they work.. now i have no cab lights no side orange lights or lights inside.. i checked all the fuses on the inside box and their fine.. what can it be

The headlight switch is fed by several circuits. There should be a separate fused power for the running lights. If the fuses are ok(double check them again), then probably you have burnt up some wiring going to the switch.

If you find the fuses are good, then pull the switch out and look for a tan/white wire. This is the hot wire coming from the fuse, and is known to burn in two with the stock lighting load.

Adding the cab lights was ok, but you cannot add fog lights by tapping into the stock circuits. You need to get a foglamp wiring kit that contains a relay, that will switch the power to the foglamps. The power for the foglamps will come directly from a fuse going to the battery, and then you can tap the brown wire to feed the foglamp relay, which takes very little current and will not damage the stock wiring and switch.

the lights i bought came with some wiring. a inline fuse and a switch than the other wiring needed.. can i use that to wire them up. i just don't want to have to use a whole nother switch just to turn them on

The kit must have came with a setup to hook it to a hot circuit in the fuse box or on the battery, then turn the fogs on with the switch. If you do not want to have to use a separate switch for the new fog lights, you will have to buy a relay. The marker lights should be ok to wire straight in.
