Cant tell if my "new to me" 2008 6.4 has been tuned. Help!

Hello all, I've searched here and haven't found much regarding g my problem.
I bought a used 2008 6.4.

Runs good, No Check Engine lights. Smokes like a chimney, (black on acceleration). It hasnt done a regen since I've owned it.

Scanner has P1000 - Drive cycle incomplete. And P0703 -brake circuit.

DPFE Pressure Sensor broken (shouldn't I have a cel?)

Egr system is in place still, DPF in place still (at least it looks like it)

Do you think my truck was previously tuned to stop that stuff? Is it the cause of the p1000?

Why not regens?

I'm so frustrated. Lol.
Thanks guys!

Black smoke is a sure sign that something isn't right. Does it have a aftermarket air filter? Look at the exhaust to see if the cats are there. Make sure that the o2 sensors are plugged in.

They appear to be there. I'll do a more thorough investigation after work today.

I'm hoping the DPF isn't hollowed out.

I have those exact same codes. Fixed the 703 with a new sensor on the brake cylinder but that 1000 code never goes away. My truck is deleted and custom tuned.

What kind of mileage are you getting? Honestly,if the truck is running good I wouldn't worry about it. I would suspect the DPF is not functioning if you are getting black smoke out the exhaust though.

I'm wondering if that's the case here.

It's saying 12.2 - 13.2 mixed driving.

I may just go spend the $170 on the DPF pressure sensor to see if that fixes it.
If not I wasted that cash.

Do you get black smoke on acceleration?

Are these any indication as to a tune? Numbers look normal for a stock truck?
