Here I go again....

Hey folks. I've posted here before about PO171+174 codes and have cleaned the EGR ports. Also got an IAT sensor code 'cuz I forgot to plug the IAC back in. (duh!!) After clearing that code, I drove it all day Saturday. The truck had absolutely NO power. It felt like someone was smothering it down really bad. On Sunday, I fired it up and the CEL was back on. The truck absolutely runs like a demon now. I punch it at takeoff and can smoke the tires! I took it to Advance and had the codes read and the good ole' PO171+174 codes again. The truck runs great, but I'm sick of the CEL light.
I'm going to check for vacuum leaks again, as I haven't heard any before. Is there any way that the cats could be screwed up causing this? I figure if that's not it, and there aren't any vacuum leaks, then it has to be the o2 sensors. After posting here before, I've been able to determine that it's the upstream sensors that may be affected. Any more advice would be appreciated, as I'm kind of going crazy right now...............

Cats would be a possibilty if you hadn't said the truck started running like a demon. Cats are usally either stopped up completely, but not intermitent.

Did you change the dpfe sensor or egr, or just clean them? If you just cleaned them, changed the sensor.

P0171 and 174 codes are for the O2 sensors. They are reading too lean. Usually the sensors arent the problem. Something else is causing them to read lean.
Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor?
How old is your fuel filter?

Talking

Hey, thanks for the replies! I've cleaned the MAF sensor, the EGR valve and changed the fuel filter(that's another story). Now I'm kinda at a loss. Looks like I'm going to have to start throwing parts at it! Oh well. Thanks again!

Rather than throwing parts at it you might want to take it to someone with a good scanner that can monitor live data to see what the O2s, MAF etc are doing. Maybe check the fuel pressure as well.
Quite often this will be cheaper than just throwing parts at it. As long as you find someone that knows what they are looking at with the live data
