Side View Mirror Replacement

Side View Mirror Replacement
Is replacing a towing type sideview mirror (on a 2011 XL) easy? Fortunately this is a drivers side (no temp gauge) and an XL (no lights or heat). I removed the three rubber plugs at the base of the mirror through the door and the top and bottom holes revealed a nut to remove. The middle plug covered nothing interesting. It looks like an easy remove-and-replace but I've deceived myself before.
Any suggestions for a good (and inexpensive!) source?? At rockauto.com all the left mirrors I found were either a paddle type or a towing mirror with all the bells and whistles.
A couple of hours ago while driving 55 under an overpass a sheet of ice fell and scared the bejeebers out of me. No bejeebers left. The whole mirror is destroyed but I can get by with the convex piece for now.
thanks,,,

I found this one on eBay -- seems like a fair price. You said yours didn't have lights, but I assume it still has the turn signal? There should be four nuts to remove to get the mirror off.

Edit: Also found this one without the signal indicator (OEM Ford part):

Thanks for the references. The second one does interest me.
All the pictures in the eBay list had the four bolts and that puzzles me.
There are three rubber grommets opposite the mirror on the inside of the
door. The middle grommet uncovers what looks like a stiffening web
for the mirror structure and the top and bottom grommets uncover one
bolt and nut each.
Perhaps there is a “platform” that is attached to the door with two bolts
and the mirror attaches to that “platform” with four bolts. I’m afraid to
merely unbolt with the two visible bolts because there may be internal
damage that is just held together with the bolt and I won’t be able to
re-assemble it.
I’ll drive to the local dealership to see their exploded picture and get
their price.
thanks,,,

This is an XL model with crank-up windows and a crank driver. There
are no lights, heater, or adjustment motors on this model. I’m told that
the temperature sensor is in the passenger side mirror.

Good news. One, the dealer had it in stock for $193. Two, the parts guy
walked me to my truck and showed me how to unsnap the plastic cover at the
front of the window. Three, it was easy and I'm done with it in less than
24 hours.
F250 SD CC: Thanks for telling me about the plastic piece but I didn't
catch on quick enough.
