Trouble with misfire

I can't get the misfire out of my truck. Spark plugs were really bad, so changed plugs and wires. It only misfires after I let off of the throttle and go to hit it again. It'll misfire and then just come out of it and take off. It doesn't throw any codes either.thoght it might be an oxygen sensor. Any help is appreciated.

Year, model, engine, transmission of the truck in question?

Please define: "It doesn't throw any codes either."

It's a 96 f250 with the 460. What I meant by doesn't throw any codes is that by plugging a jumper wire up and cycling the key I only get the 111 code. Check engine light does come on when driving but I don't have a code reader.

If the Check Engine Light comes on that means a code should be in Continuous Memory (CM aka stored codes). Once the KOEO tests are completed there is a separator flash then the stored codes are displayed. You may not have left the jumper in long enough.

Its most definitely been in there long enough. That's why I'm surprised it isn't showing a code.

That is not good news. Many folks are having strange symptoms related to bad capacitors in the computer (PCM). Time to pull it out then inspect.

I also saw no mention of a new distributor cap & rotor either.

Those were pretty new and seem to work fine. Can't complain about having some issues when you get a truck for free. Haha

Are you 100% sure there are no codes? The innova code reader is a cheap way to be sure.
