Pic without top and question about fastening it down

I took the top of today.......awesome! I'm going to leave it off at least until it gets hot this summer. I took the headliner out and don't plan to put the trim back on over the fasteners. I want to be able to get it off easier. Mine is a 95 so there is a brake light in the top and those awful tamper proof torx heads screws holding it down. Any advice for replacing the fasteners with something easier to get off? I could get some regular torx or hex head bolts.

yeah just replace the bolts with something of your choosing probably. You could even opt to only put a bolt in every other hole, or even just one in each corner for a total of 4 or 6 if you count the top two corners as-well. The 6 is what I would go with but I have done just 4 before. One time I forgot to fasten it at all and it fell off at a stop sign... hurt a corner a little bit but mostly just embarrassing.

Anyway Thomas, I have also been toying with the idea of fashioning some sort of clamp system onto the shell for easy removal because I do move my shell so often. Other things always take priority for me so i probably wont get around to it but I think it would be sweet and it shouldn't take too much fab. I haven't really thought out all the details but I would want to put something like either of these types of fasteners on a few different points along the shell.
