Large Oil Leak in the Valley

I've developed a large oil leak in the valley. My guess is the EBPV. What's it take to fix the leak if I DONT remove the valve?

There's a good chance I'll just take it to my works fleet dept and tell them to fix it.

I was trying to chase down an oil leak on my truck recently (which lead to my discovery of fuel in the degas tank and injector cup replacement) and several of my friends told me to degrease everything as best I could so it's a little more obvious where the leak is coming from.

Once I was done with the injector cups I kinda forgot what led me under the hood to start lol. I noticed my turbo pedestal is a little damp. Could be EBPV or just pedestal o-rings.

Looks like you have an HPX installed. Make sure its not spraying a mist of HP oil everywhere. Other than that, I'd start with a thorough degreasing to try and see the source.

The valve is rebuildable if you choose to keep it. So long as the bore where the seal travels isn't scarred or scratched it's pretty cheap to rebuild the pedestal.

To be certain, clean and dry as best possible and start the Engine and witness where it is coming from. Several Connection as well as the Turbo have seals which will flood the valley.

None of them are too difficult to fix. Just time consumption.

The rebuild parts are only slightly less than a new pedestal without the actuator for that stupid exhaust pressure regulator.

I didn't have a whole lot of time to dedicate to the fix, so I took it to the mechanics at my work. They said it's the HPOP lines. Guess I didn't look at them hard enough lol

I took it to the shop and they said it was the HPOP lines. A few days later it was ready and $500 out the door it was fixed.

Or so I thought. It started leaking again. I had time now and I tore into it. I found a plug in the head just to the front of one of the HPOP lines that was leaking a lot. The leak ran right past the HPOP lines. I called the shop and they confirmed they did not use this plug for anything, leaving me to believe this was likely the culprit the whole time. 15 minutes later the shop office manager called me back and was processing a refund.
