Shift ****

On the 1996 f350 standard diesel 7.3, I want to change the shift **** is it threaded or glued on? Please help

It's a splined interference fit. Pull hard enough and it comes off. Twist it hard enough and it will strip the splines on the inside of the **** and that will make it easy to come off.
