Hello all.
My truck has something odd going on, nothing huge but enough to become annoying.
Start the truck it will lope 2-3 times and them even out.
When the truck is driven and warms up, the idle will jump up and down from 600ish to 700ish range and vibrates the truck more then usual. My first attempt to fix was the Camshaft senor since it was the cheapest and a possibility... but nope.
Any thoughts.
I disconnected the ICP sensor and no oil there so first thought is that is still good.
The EOT sensor has some moisture around it where you can see a build up of dirt and oil?? Not sure if that is normal.
If it is an auto...start it when in neutral. When it does not romp replace the manual lever position sensor on the shifter of the trans. Only buy ford part!!!
I get the same outcome if I start it in neutral it will still lope and same goes for it im sitting it traffic and drop it in neutral the idle will still jump around
If IPR o-ring is bad wouldn't I have oil saturation?
Would running temp cause this issue. It does not seem that my truck ever get up to temp no matter how long I drive it in any temp (40-80 degrees outside).... the temp gauge hardly ever goes past the first hash mark located over the "C".... never has it gone into the "Normal" area.
To check ipr you just have to pull it out of the high pressure pump and look. It could be orings or on high mileage it could be the ipr it's self potentially.
The small screen inside the fuel bowl being plugged can cause this too.
Remove the fuel filter lid and on the inside driver side about a inch down you'll see a little 1/4" hole with a screen inside of it. Cut the cotton off the end of a q-tip and scrap the gunk off the screen c
