2016 F250 Excursion Conversion

OK, who knows who does the BEST 2016 F250/Excursion conversions.

Been thinking I might want a new diesel conversion.

Found this one. NOT looking for a stretch.

CABT ...The Stretch Truck Company! Upfitter

Looking for the HIGHEST quality builder. Any thoughts?

If I had the $$$, I'd buy one from CABT. Mostly because I figure they've done enough of them. Only real reference I've ever got on CABT is from this guy who lives up the road from me. He is happy with his 6 door F350. He told me originally wanted an Excursion, but the wait was too long ( I think several months). The F350 was in stock.

On a side note....... let me know how much you want for your 7.3 Ex.

Once I hit the Powerball Lottery this week I'll be spending some money at Tim's place. I think most of the other late model EX conversions are pretty one or two off deals from various shops, while CABT has been producing them in multiple different configurations for several years now and has done way more of them than anyone else that I'm aware of.

Flip side to CABT is they don't convert old body styles at all. You provide the 2008-2015 pickup, as well as $38-40,000 and they turn it into an Excursion. They will NOT facelift an Excursion nor will they do motor swaps, etc.

Pickup configuration must match what you want in the end as well, crew cab short box for an Excursion, long bed for a 6 door, etc.

I love the idea of the 6 door Ex (I can almost fill all the seats!), but that thing would be a pain in the *** to park!

I would go with customs by Tim. I considered having him do a Platinum Ex for me But I didn't want $100k wrapped up in a truck right now. I decided to just do the front in conversion on my Ex only hit me for about $3-$4k that includes paint. I had a harley edition front end with HID's before the conversion and sold those parts for $800 so I recouped a little of my cash. It really wasn't that difficult of a conversion thanks to the bracket kit from Mcnasty customz. Next I want to do a coil over axle swap and I've been watching the salvage yards for a 2015 interior so I can do the interior conversion. Here is before and after pics.

Whereabouts are you Tex? Would be cool to swing by and check out your rig in person.

I thought about having Tim make one for me last year, but I'm pretty sure I'm getting to the end of the excursion bug. Just going to enjoy mine a little longer and probably replace it with a big car like maybe a new RR ghost.

Has anyone done this conversion here? I would like to do it myself. I know there is a boat load of work. Would like to see someone's work.

Which conversion?
Redoing the front clip to a late model SD look or grafting an EX body onto a new(er) SD pickup frontend, drivetrain and frame? Two different animals with very different costs.

I would like to do the whole thing with a wrecked truck for the parts. New dash, front end sheet metal, axles, 6.2 engine. The whole works. Do you need the pick up front clip or can you just replace the fire wall to fit the dash.

I did see where someone in Wisc. did this but all the pics were gone. It looks like he might have gotten banned.

I think he built 2 of them, one 6.4 and one 6.7 if my brain is working tonight. He drilled out the spot welds mid front seat floor and top of A pillars, frame was spliced under the front seats. He did a real nice job of them but I think he kept trying to sell then in the tech forums which isn't allowed.

Thanks All.

Glad to see the consensus is the same all around for CABT.

I have been doing some research and just wanted FB, thanks!

As to selling the existing X, well no. Wife will get that for a DD if this goes forward.
