Symptoms of a P0016 will or may include:
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination
- The engine may run but with reduced performance
- The engine may crank but not start
- The engine may exhibit a rattle near the harmonic balancer indicating the tone ring is damaged
- The engine may start and run, but poorly
Causes may include:
- Timing chain stretched, or timing belt skipped a tooth due to wear
- Misalignment of timing belt/chain

Turbo/Supercharger Underboost
– The ECM has detected an error between the expected versus actual exhaust backpressure
Probable Cause[s]
Faulty Injector Control Pressure (ICP) sensor
EGR system fault
Engine mechanical condition -Low oil pressure
Faulty Turbo/Supercharger
Symptoms
Symptoms of a P0299 DTC may include:
Potential Causes
Potential causes of a P0299 turbo underboost code include:
I done lots of reading in all of the forms but fte is wear I go for advice the boys over in 7.3 form know there stuff and are a nice bunch of guys so I come to see what I can find out before I jump in to this this code and other code can they be related

I would start with the crankshaft position sensor. Check all the wiring.
Also check all the wiring to the PCM.
did you check all fuses under hood and in the kick panel or wherever they are putting the fuses In the cab?
Also the P000 is usually because of a communication error..I think you figured that one out already.
