Not much confidence in Ford ECM

I have a '13 Ecoboost with Max Tow and HD payload. Since new, it has gotten 14 to 15 in mixed driving and 7 to 9 towing. I had it to the dealer early and they said "it's not broken in yet". Well 3 years later nothing has changed.

We were vacationing in the Redwoods and the computer threw a P102d code, over voltage on turbo inlet sensor.

I cleared it and it did not return on the rest of our trip. Exhaust pipe was totally coked up, pitch black.

I took it to the dealer and "no problem found" I bought the turbo inlet and maniforl MAP's from Amazon for about $50 and installed.

Mileage jumped up 2 MPG mixed driving. Haven't towed yet.

So much for Fords computer system.

What areyou towing? What does it weigh? Is your vehicle still under warranty?
The ECM/TCM system is pretty good. I would question the competency of the dealership.

I'm well within towing weight limits and the poor mileage was unloaded also.

Pretty much any dealer will not do anything unless a code is stored. I was way up in the redwoods many miles from a dealer when it coded. I cleared it to see if it would return. If it did, I would go to the local parts store and replace rather that driving a hundred miles and spending a day at a dealership. Spending $100 to have the dealer replace a $30 part under warranty is not good sense.

By the way, I'm a retired ASE mechanic.

The sad part is that Ford's ecm thinks running that rich is OK, I don't.
