Hey I have been seeing this temporary download you can get at a Bully Dog dealer? How's that work? Would it leave a code on your computer if you needed to have work done?
You should be okay. they say the download only lasts three days mine lasted a week
but in the middle of that same week my turbo blew brought it in to ford they replaced the turbo no questions asked i was expecting a bill to be handed to me. Anyways she ran great two days later as i was driving it went back to stock and it felt like a slug.I did talk to my bullydog dealer and he said i was lucky but there is know way they can tell if you have the triple dog and remove the program. Keep in mind my dealer might not care about mods and the bully dog dealer could just be saying what i wanted to hear.My truck was only three months old of course it started acting wired after i bought it i could always smell burning plastic when i got out of it so i don't think the bully dog had a major part in it .

Do a search, but others in the past have reported problems with the free trial download leaving a foot print and causing programming problems with the PCM at a later date. Fix was to have Ford dealer re-flash the computer. Since there is a foot print left, this could lead to warranty issues. IMO i would not recommend trying the free trial download, just been to many reported problems.
no it does not leave a foot print it has a timer that erases the download after 5 hours
So say I go to 4Wheel Parts here in Phoenix Az an have it loaded on my truck pull out of the shop nail the throttle grenade my motor wait 5hours then haul it to the dealer for warranty repair, and dealer will be none the wiser???
Not sure what the definition of "footprint" is supposed to be; but I know for a fact there are changes to the system clock and VID block that do not just "expire".
There is no such thing as a modification to these specific processor memory blocks that will totally self-erase upon expiration; certain parameters must be manually flash-erased.
I know this from experience, as every truck that has come through the shop with previous BullyDog programming requires a full reflash using IDS before the SCT will even recognize the processor. A worthwhile 10 minutes, however
Ford found out that I did it when I brought my 04 in for the injector buzz flash. They still flashed the truck......But even though I was told Ford will NEVER find it..... Ford knew SOMETHING was there!I wouldn't do it.......
I passed on this "free trial" before going with Spartan. The guy was REALLY pushing his product, too, telling me it's a "free week's tune", and "99% of the testers buy the product at the end of the week".
All I know is I'm a firm believer of a good tune, just not the one they are pushing!! Don't cut corners, go with the known guys here!
