Added Banks Headers- need cat delete pipe

My 90 f350 460 is eligible for antique tags so I put on some Banks headers earlier this year and now am taking off the catalytic converter.

I need to find a flanged cat delete pipe but haven't found any.

The headers are oval to match the cat intake. I called Banks and they are looking around for me as well as sending specs in the flange size. I need to go down to a 3.5" pipe.

Thanks !

Oval? maybe your 90 is different then my 96. I had a shop install the headers and Y pipe. Then I ran a 4' section of pipe to a magnaflow muffler, no cat. IRC,the Y pipe was 3" I.d. You could cut the flange and use whatever pipe size to match up the rest of the exhaust...3.5 might be a little overkill for a stock 460.

a pic of the setup could help...it sounds like, if it were mine, I'd be massaging a pipe to fit around the oddball oval shape.

IIRC there is a Banks kit that retains the stock converter (oval inlet port) or one with an aftermarket converter. From the description, the OP has the former kit.

This is a Magnaflow replacement for the factory converter

Notice the oval inlet....

Hi All

Hi, all I'm new to the forum but have been following it for awhile now. Bought a 1992 F150 to restore with my grandson who is just seven now but plan for it to be his, looking at doing dual exhaust , would love to have true dual like back in the day but need to stay legal if there's a way to do it but if I have to go single cat back I guess I will any suggestion would be great and what mufflers do you guys suggest ? Just want a good strong tone that won't break the bank

I hate to hijack, but which magnaflow did you go with?

You are SOL. You need to MAKE a cat delete pipe. Get some 3/8" flat stock and a flowmaster "Y". You cut the 2 smaller ends off the "Y" and just retain the oval to weld to the 3/8" flat plate

This is the "Y" I am talking about Flowmaster Scavenger Series Y Collectors Y214300 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

this one MagnaFlow Performance Mufflers 11219 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing. It's kind of loud when the gas is hammered, but a deeper tone then say a flowmaster. I like it so far.
