Let's discuss Nerf Bars/SideSteps/Running Boards

They have several different names, and numerous different styles. I have the factory, black molded ones on my new 2015 CC. They serve a purpose and are useful, but I don't like the looks. Numerous options out there of course, so I have been looking around.

Thinking about going to the N-Fab cab length in gloss black. Other options/opinions? Truck is black so they should blend in well. I want to stay away from any that hang low.

I have read some reviews saying the holes don't line up and new holes are needed in the pinch seam. I DO NOT want to drill new holes. My pinch seam rusted like crazy on my 2010 F150 so I don't want any more holes than I need.

Post pics if you got em'.

They're not black, but I love my Lund stainless steel ones, they still look great after many years, use the factory holes and have never loosened or anything on 2 different trucks over 13 years.

Based on my experience with their longevity, style, and quality, I would recommend any of their steps. The Summit Ridge black ones look good to me.

I had a set of Nfabs arrive yesterday, I will be installing them saturday.
Build quality looks good, however I was disappointed that the ends are left open. It seems to me like that is a bad idea letting water collect inside would cause them to rot from the inside.

NFab is pretty good stuff I have used their products just not the nerf's....Can't see you getting hurt with Nfab.

I have Go Rhino on mine it looks like according to my window sticker they might have been a factory option....They are pertty solid and serve the purpose..

I'm in the same boat. My 15 Platinum looked awful with a long chrome step hanging down. Very dated for a 15 year model truck. Ford should have put the AMP Powersteps on the Platinums, just like they do the F150's. I took off my off the day I drove it home.

Still debating on what to get myself. The powersteps are nice, just not worth $1,200.

I bought mine from Willmore Manufacturing ? Made in the USA. I went with the wheel to wheel ones with the flare for my duals. I love them and they bolted up in the factory holes. No drilling at all. Mine were slow to ship but they said that was because of the flared end. Didn't sell as many of them. They do come in black as well.

I put these on from a company called VPR4x4
They bolt to the existing holes in the pinch weld, same as the factory steps.

They are only cab length though, the picture makes it look like they go wheel to wheel.

Overall ive been very happy with them. Been on the truck over a year now, no signs of rust, and the powder coat is still in tact.

Yeah that is odd. I would think capping them on the end would look nicer. But, I guess if water penetrated, it wouldn't ever dry out. With open ends they should dry out inside. Let me know how the install goes!

Will look into the other brands mentioned.

Ford Power 88 I like the Willmore steps. My wife has only one complaint about the F350 (other than me buying it) and that is the factory setup to get into it. This might be more to her liking.

Yeah I really like them. Nice surface area for stepping on to get into the truck.

The install went well, fit was ok. to be critical the rear most brackets/mounting holes were off about an 1/8". I had to **** the bolts sideways to get them to thread, but they tightened up ok.
I am happy with them, they look good, don't stick out too far, feel stable, certainly for the $350 price and free shipping via amazon

I have read elsewhere about the holes not lining up. Post pics when you have time.
