Info center retrofit

I have the same situation on an '05 XLT and am also interested in this information. I thought in the past there was a conversation about this that said the wiring harness for it should be in place (I haven't looked yet on mine) but that we MAY need to add the temp sensor and wiring for that function to work. But I'm unable to find that info with a search here.

Ill post some pictures later but found out that the wires that go to the mirror have nothing to do with the display or my display is some other way screwed up but the over head console comes down pretty easy. Literally 1 screw in second compartment and then just pops down from 4 spots. 2 in the rear and 2 in the front. There were 3 pig tails 2 were black for the rear a/c and heat and 1 white. Im leaning towards the white slinder one is for the display. So im guessing if thats not there the display will not be able to just mount up. Also there are screw holes that the display mounts to on the back side of the campartment so again if those are not there then its a no go.
