Grease gun 'needle', but not the sharp type

I have a zerk that is in too tight of a location to get the normal grease gun fitting collared over it.

I've seen a much smaller tip that is somewhat pointed, that fits into the center of the zerk, where the ball is.

Problem is when I ask the local auto parts store they show me a hypodermic type needle for piercing or getting in between seals.

Anyone know where I can get one of these small tipped items?

Many thanks!

I think what you're looking for is this

They are really for flush fitting like this

I've never tried one on a "normal" fitting, but they might work.

Yes, that looks like it. I actually installed one of those fittings into my centering yoke when I replaced the pieces.

I found one at NAPA. The had a few types. The one I picked up has a zerk that my existing grease gun socket fits onto so I don't have to screw/unscrew the ends.

Aout $20.

Thanks!

In my case pictures are worth a million---or more---words!

Vastly interesting thread as I never knew or even suspected there were different types of Zerks, apart from the straight on, 45* & 90* versions anyway. Learned something new today!

I don't think you understand how this tool thing works.
That was your excuse to buy another grease gun.

Glad I could help.

As a current new-tool addict I've foregone looking for a "reason" (excuse) to buy something new---just do it as Nike once said..........

Good thing I'm single huh? Or could I be single coz I do buy so many new tools?

Dammit man---NOW you've got me thinking in that direction!

No not quite that bad but certainly have no less than 8-9 ratchets of various description, size and age. Glad I have a large enough tool box---and several of those too.

I've had one for years that snaps on the to the end of a grease gun. I bought it to do the 4wd front stub shaft U-joints, but it works on any flush fitting.
