Banks Powerpack System

Anyone have good reviews on this? Are there any particular reasons NOT to go for something like this? This should be a link to the page. Thanks for feedback. bankspower.com/products/show/126/38

WE3Zs and several others have installed there headers with excellent results. What size is the Banks exhaust piping? Factory on my 99 is 3", I have a 4" MBRP and don't think it did much more then sound awesome. BSEG every time. What year is your truck?

The intake Banks provides is not really needed either. From what I have read it is basically a modded factory air housing. Factory with Motorcraft filter and the zoodad mod creates the cold air effect. See picture below. Do you have a tuner? 5star is highly recommended around here as well.

I am a big fan and user of their headers (Banks) but in my not so humble opinion the rest of the "Power pack" is a waste of money. The stock V-10 air cleaner can outflow the motor and the Zoodad mod that Coop posted will get lots of fresh air into the intake. The stock exhaust (with the exception of the T pipe if you have that horrible arrangement) is pretty good and not worth the added expense of their system, just swap in a good performance muffler. If you get the headers they come with a new good Y pipe so that issue is covered.
My Banks headers and 5Star tunes have made my V-10 EX much more fun to drive as they both added a nice noticeable improvement. But the single biggest mod was the upgrade from 3.73 gears to 4.88 gears (effectively 4.39 with my 35.28" tires). Short of serious engine mods or forced induction gears will be the best performance improvement to a V-10.

Totally agree with both Coop and Z's, I have the Banks headers and SCT tuner and love them!
