Question

So, I just had this question pop up... And, please forgive my noob-ness on this, but... I was wondering if there are 1-piece driveshafts made for the F250's and is it beneficial to have it or keep the factory driveshaft? Honest, helpful answers are appreciated, trolling is not appreciated. Thanks.

I am not completely sure, but I think that the one piece vs. two piece drive shaft is based on the total length of the drive shaft from the transmission or transfer case output to the rear differential. I think that on some shorter configurations, like a regular cab long bed and an extended cab short bed, they may have designed one piece drive shafts. Longer configurations require longer drive shafts and have the two piece units with the carrier bearing and slip joint, which I believe is primarily to keep the u-joints operating at appropriate angles on the longer wheelbase trucks.
