Yet Another Cruise Control Issue...
Having an issue with the CC on my 2000 f150 5.4. Ive read just about every cruise control thread out there, but nothing has exactly what im looking for. My issue is: cruise control doesnt work! I did the self test (this is where it gets unique) when turing the key with the off button pressed i get a flash, and hitting the on button i get a flash, but no flashes from the reset, set accel, or coast buttons. Would this mean that the switch is bad on my steering wheel?
I do know that the pressure switch on my master cylinder is bad, when i unhook the recall harness the connector is full of fluid, but i dont think that would cause any of the lights not to flash... or maybe it would.
Anyways, all help is appreciated!

Your lucky the truck has not caught fire and burned down just sitting in a garage some where in the middle of the night..
There was a recall about this and a modified cable harness with a fuse put in place.
Replace the switch with a Ford part, not an after market part.
The switch supplies power for CC to operate.
The foot pedal switch operated 'applies' power to be sure the CC is disabled.
Pressure switch circuit open = no power.
Brake switch non operated also = no power.
With this being the case you can not do any test.
No test tells you there is a problem by it 'self.
See the logic in all this?
Good luck.
