Unless the top has been chopped or the truck has broken springs and or flat tires. Then it no longer looks like a truck.

I say use what ever you want in your vehicle it belongs to you.
To your point that ford has just as many parts available as chevy, it made me pull out my jegs, summit and speedway and I would have to say chevy parts pages are running about 2-3 to 1. Now in the racing side I would have no say there beings I am no racer by any means
I agree with Gerrymoe. I have noticed the same thing about the number of Ford vs GM parts in the Jegs, Summit, and Speedway catalog. When looking through these catalogs, if I was a Mopar guy, I would really feel left out.

I'm really, ok with an engine miss match if that's what the owner can deal with but I'll draw the line if my two barn mates decide to swap motors.

Except for the flat tires, I guess you got me.

Just checked back on this and it looks like close to 70/30 in favor of keeping the non Ford drive train builds going. I have been working on truck #2 but not updating, so I will get back to it and not focus on the drive train unless there is some universal back woods low buck work going on that will apply to Ford stuff too..and if you read my threads there is plenty of back woods low buck universal hack work going on

Yeah, the MOPAR stuff is a little harder to come by. But, you get what you pay for....

Just kidding. Most MOPAR guys get the gear from speciality MOPAR shops rather than Jegs/Summit/Speedway. There's plenty out there if you're pockets are deep enough.

That isn't quite true.
I have a '79 Courier that I bought a 2.3 out of a '95 Ranger to put in it. The oil pump and pickup were reconfigured for '95 and I could not use the original (79) pan unless I made my own oil pickup. Even Esslinger Engineering couldn't come up with a pickup tube. But the rear sump won't fit over the stock crossmember. And nobody makes a modern front sump, only rear and mid-double.
