Looking for cam help on 302 build

True I do need to get the real numbers. Block was flat filed using a machinists level and file. The compression rating numbers were from the speed pro advertisement for the pistons. They are the hyper flat tops with four large eyebrows. Shows compression on a 68-72 block with 58.5 cc heads at 8.96-1. This is my first attempt on a complete rebuild so my learning curve is pretty steep.

After many delays mistakes and frustrations my motor is done. With a Holley 600 just had it tuned on a dynojet. Final results 273 rwhp at 4800 rpm 313 tq at 3600 rpm. Peak power is at higher rpm than I expected but I had the heads ported and bowl blended. I would have been happy 40 hp and tq less. I'm thrilled. It screams from 1800-5000 rpm. Btw turns out the rear is 308 so I will be regearing it asap

Hey my son and I have a 65 short bed and doing a bunch of work to including putting a 68 302 in it. Question is what year headers did you order to fit? The motor came with headers and was going in a mustang I believe; the drivers side header won’t go due to it hitting the firewall. Wondering if you are running 69 F100 headers? Thanks
