1960 Transmission Floor Shifter Boot

Hi everyone. I was curious if anybody could give me help on finding the round shifter boot for the floor shift 4 speed. I feel like I have searched everywhere in restoration catalogs. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

You cannot find one, because there isn't one.
Welcome to FTE

There is no Ford truck parts catalog listing for a T-98 shift lever boot for any 1957/64 truck.

What these truck came with originally was this: C0TB-8112130-A .. Transmission Cover Weather Seal ~ 2" 1.D. x 7.00" O.D. x 2.00" thick / Obsolete

This was located between the transmission cover plate and floor pan to prevent water, dust and etc. from entering the cab.

It's obsolete, no one has any NOS and AFAIK, it isn't reproduced.

I used thin waterproof foam, built into layers, to create the seal between the top of the trans and the bottom of the trans hump on my truck restoration. It actually was the foam you use between a foundation and the first layer of wood in house construction. each layer was glued together with 3M weatherstrip adhesive. Seals out the elements great.

Maybe something from a newer model. My 2000 F350 has just such a piece of foam between the transmission and cab.

Here is a pic of the trans water seal that was in my 63 F250 4x4 with a T98 trans. It has a round metal retainer that It sits on between the trans cover and the trans. I used it in my 65 it seems like it is made from dense cell foam rubber just made in a round design. Im sure you should be able to duplicate it.The plate sits on top of the trans then the foam block. It is in the middle of the picture.

My '77 had one something like that as well but without the metal piece. Just an oversized doughnut of foam to keep the crap out of the top.
