alternator gauge not working

I have a 1997 F250 351/auto 4x4
I changed my gauge cluster. Now my alternator gauge is not working. It will wiggle just a little bit. I have 14 volts at the battery with the pickup running. So the alternator is working. The gauge work on the other cluster.
Is their anything I can to fix the gauge?

The gauge from the old cluster can be moved to the new cluster.

What year cluster did you use in your truck?

95 to 96(97 on F250 and up) clusters are plug and play. Using other year clusters will cause charging issues, wrong warning lamps to come on, possable some gauges not to operate properly.

Also check the printed circuit board where the harness plugs into the cluster. Sometimes those foil connectors will get munged up and cause problems. Hopefully none of them broken off!

Yes, the gauge from the old cluster can be removed easily. The needle indicator pulls straight off, it is just pressed on, a fork may help. From there it just comes out the back after removing the screws.

I got the needle pulled off.
I do not see any screws on the back of the cluster.
Do I need to remove that plastic backing?
thanks

sorry, left a step out...the black part that has the graphics on the front, that comes out as a whole piece. You need to pull it out by the sides. Start slow and just work it loose you will understand how it works once you get it apart but go slow and pull straight out so you don't damage anything

I think I got everything.
I do not see an alignment mark for the needles. I am kinda guessing on where they go.
thanks again
