Motor confusion. Need opinions

I have a 66 F350 4spd 2WD.
Serial number indicates "C" for 330MD. (F35YCXXXXXX)
Block casting is C6ME whick could be a 330MD.
Air cleaner has 352 271 HP on it. (partially worn off)
Block has 352 cast into it (yes I know most do)
What is IT?

I am getting a 390 block and rotating assembly hopefully this weekend. My plan is to build a 390 for it with EDEL aluminum heads. Main question is will I have issues bolting the NP435 to it or any other issues. I know the front motor mount bolts to the timing cover and a single attacment to the front frame and I may have to use the original timing cover.

It could the original 352, but after all these years, it could also have a swapped 360, 390 or ?

VIN engine code is Y = 352 2V / C is the assembly plant code: Oakville Ontario Canada Truck Assembly Plant.

No 352 installed in a car or truck came with 271 HP.

The only Ford with 271 HP was the hipo 289 installed in some cars (VIN code K).

1965/67 F100/350 352 air cleaner decal: 208 HP

Stamped on the 3rd line of the Warranty Plate w/a 352: 172 net HP @ 4,000 RPM

All 1953/78 F350's are 2WD, 1979 was the first year that F350's were available with 4WD

1965 F100/250 4WD - 1965/66 F350 - 1966 F250 4WD use the same engine mounting system (upper pic).

1965/66 F100/250 2WD - 1966 F100 4WD - 1967/76 F100/350 use a different engine mounting system (lower pic).

The FE bell housings are specific to each system.

Thanks, ya the HP sticker is only partially their. I did see the plate with the 172 HP.
Still not sure of the engine size....most likely 330MD.

I doubt it's a 330 2V Medium Duty FT engine. It was only installed in 1964/78 500 and larger series trucks with one exception.

1973/78 F350's made exclusively for U-Haul came with this engine.

It's possibly that it was swapped in, but I doubt that also.

I edited in a parts catalog pic inre to engine mounts in post 2.

Now I see that it is a 352 from Canada (as well as me). I bought Steve Christ's book and he makes reference to the 5th digit which was for me a C, fourth digit is a Y.
Many thanks for your help ND.

VIN engine code: 4th digit of the 11 digit VIN for trucks, 5th digit of the 11 digit VIN for cars (both thru 1980).

1981 thru today, the engine code is the 8th digit of the 17 digit VIN for all.
