broke down

I have a 96 f150 4x4 5speed. It was running fine and then it died, and wouldnt start back it just coughs. But doesnt starrt. Ive replaced fuel pump, computer, and fuel filter. Alsi changed the engine control management relay. Still doesnt run. If anyone has any answers as to why it wont run please let me know.

Stop throwing parts at it. I would normally say check for codes first in this situation, but seeing as you replaced the computer it is likely there are no codes stored any more... Do you still have the original parts you replaced?

Do you have spark?

Are the injectors firing?

What engine are we troubleshooting?
You will need to determine fuel and spark. Start there and post your results.

Yep... start with the basics. What was done recently to the truck? Any trouble before this happened? What made you decide to replace the specific parts that you did?

Do you have spark? If not do you have PIP signal? With no PIP signal you won't get spark OR fuel, but since you say it sputters then I'm guessing your PIP is good. What is your fuel pressure? Will it run with starter fluid?

Save your money on the coil and take it to the shop now.
