We Had to Part Ways
Well after 12 years I had to part with my 03.
Leaking uppies, intermittent SES light, and mostly a slipping tranny it was time to part ways. She was becoming a money pit with only 165K. Just 2 months ago I spent $500 doing upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, and front rotors, then came an intermittent SES light. I was contemplating getting an AE to read the codes when the tranny started slipping while mashing the go pedal. I checked the tranny fluid and it had turned black (I had just changed the fluid less than 10k ago). I just couldn't continue.
I traded her for a 2014 F-150 Lariat, with an EcoBoost. I still have my 2012 F-250 Superduty w/6.7 so I still have a good towing vehicle.
I still visit FTE every couple days and will still drop in and lurk when I visit the 6.7 forum.
I would like to thank everyone especially Mueckster, Millerfeed, SpringerPop, Tugly, Megawatt, Stuart, Franko72, BillyBob just to name a few for all the advice and info yall have given over the last 14 years!!

Don't go, stay...
Costa you will be missed. Glad we had the opportunity to break bread together and share some laughs.
I'm tossing around the idea of selling my truck and buying something more practical myself.
It's starting to show it's age and at 312k I don't think it's the right choice for a daily driver anymore.
You'll love that F150, Roland loves his.

Yes, I was thinking the same (about selling) a month ago, but decided to keep mine. I'm still on the lookout for a winter vehicle. Yours with only 165k on it is just getting broke in. Tranny issues? Take it and get it rebuilt, BTS maybe and drive it another 200k. Take care in whatever direction you choose..

I really enjoyed the get together also!
I am still daily driving my 12 F-250 6.7PSD, and my wife now drives the F-150. My son was driving the 03 for the last couple of years and he swapped my wife for her 07 Tahoe, drove it for a week, hated it and traded it in for a 2014 Mustang. The good things that have come out of all of this is now there are only Blue Ovals in the driveway and hopefully I wont be doing any major wrenching for a few years.
