Just did the 6637 filter swap

I did the 6637 air filter change on my 2001 F250 this evening. Went fairly well. I didn't use a kit. Just bought the filter and removed the air box then replaced it with the 6637. I was going off of a post that I saw on here, but I can't find it anymore. I searched and found the kits and what not, but the filter fit right in there no problem. The only issue I had was the filter slipping off. So I pegged it on there with some wood screws. there was a sensor however in the air box. I'm thinking it is the filter minder sensor. I can't put it back in. Also, I've heard of an IAT sensor in there, but I couldn't find one on mine. Should I look else where?

The IAT sensor is a little gray sensor that plugged into the side of the factory air box. The air restriction gauge is a clear plastic tube with some colors and writing on it and a button on the end. Which one did you save?

Instead of some wood screws, go find a shop that works on big trucks or bobtails and ask for a short piece of 4" exhaust pipe. Or go to your local hardware store and buy a PVC 3" coupler (4" O.D.) and a couple of hose clamps.

That's a much more permanent solution than some screws that may become loose with road vibrations and bumps.

X2 with Chris, 4" exhaust about 3" long fit mine great.

You do not need the filter minder. I wrapped it in a plastic bag and stuck it under some harness.

The IAT you do need and it should be there somewhere, pic below. Zip tie it securely out of harm's way in a place with good airflow. Not near anything hot. Brake master cylinder is common.

Ok that's the sensor I found. My filter minder doesn't have a harness to it.
