i have a 1995 f150 xcab 4x4 351 e4od with 160,000. i drive her every day and at least 2-3 times a week it bogs at idle and while cruising down the road. ive done tune up plugs wires coil distributor, fuel pressure is 30+. i have cleaned the iac, and the throttle body. replaced the tpi, everything i seem to do doesnt change anything. truck started it at 150000 was getting about 15+ mpg mixed city and highway, now i am getting 8 on top of its performance issues... i am starting to think my computer is going bad, and i am having a really hard time diagnosing for it throws no codes and it randomly does it. one day it runs fine the next like crud. i am going to put new computer in it here in the next week just wanted to hear opinions if thats a good idea or not for i really dont have money for a computer but if its what it needs its what it gets. Has anyone else experienced these problems? most forums i read on this none of them have found a solution, or they at least dont post what the did to fix it. thank you to whomever helps

thanks thats the most helpful thing ive seen so far, i guess when the weekend hits im goin to pull my computer. i did finally retrieve 1 code it was 512 keep alive memory failure.(does not throw engine light) really dont know what it means. all data says to clean connections to pcm or bring out the brake out box witch i do not have. this morning the check engine came on and my overdrive light started blinking did it for one minute then went away? of course right when i brake out the computer, go figure. during that minute she shifted hard, as soon as it went away back to driving normal. has me beat. thanks for the reply , will get back asap to see if it solves my problems.

 

It fixed it she is running beautiful!!!!!!! i pulled the computer to find all 3 have leaked all over the place, past the point of repair, so i parked it for a weak got a new one and she is back on the road. thanks krooser your help is greatly appreciated!!
