coolant slightly low - Prestone "for all vehicles" ok to use?

Hey guys, was going over my truck yesterday checking all the fluids etc and noticed the "cold line" on the coolant was about a 1/2'' above the actual fluid. My truck doesn't run hot at all but I have some coolant in my garage and it says "good for any vehicle" or something like that. Sounds like a pretty straightforward statement but I'm always a little leary w coolant systems. My simply question is do you think it's ok to top off the fluid w/ this stuff?

I back the truck up on ramps to get the front of the engine at the lowest point. Then I put a piece of heater hose on the outlet of the drain and into a catch pan. Then open it up and let it drain for about 30 minutes. Then I pulled the lower radiator hose and let the engine drain for about 10 minutes. Then I run hose water, yes hose water, through the radiator and block in both directions for a few minutes. Then another 10 minutes of draining. Then I pour a hill on of distilled water through the engine and the radiator to remove any more tap water and debris. Then I replace the thermostat and put the hoses back on. Then I roll the truck back into flat ground and fill with Prestone 50/50. I have a spill free funnel that mounts to the radiator. I fill it till the system can't take anymore, then start the truck and let it warm up. The spill free funnel holds the coolant while it expands until the thermostat opens. Then the level drops. I top it off then I leave the funnel on pull the truck up onto ramps on the front so the radiator it the highest point. Then I let it idle for about 20 minutes to get the air out. Then I top it off and put the cap back on. Its a long process but my heat is nice and hot and the truck has never overheated or even come close.
