My bad - THEO once told me of a semi-truck cab that was called that, it was supposed to be the most aerodynamically efficient semi-truck you could get.

But it still only got 11 per gallon of diesel...

Hey there! That's good!
Our county fire engines get 4-5mpg.

~ It sounds like they were made when the double nickle was in force in the mid eighties -

AND JUST GO FIGURE!

SOME IDIOT thought that would save fuel....

Whenever government butts into engineering we all pay for their stupidity!!!

* I bet Hillary couldn't figure out how to close a FEDEX box

Not quite...
They actually have a pretty modern fleet.

- They are heavy
- They are driven hard
- Hardly any highway miles

Probably never get to reach norm op temp before arriving at their call destination.

I would doubt it, considering average response time is 5-8 minutes.

Bringing that up only because prior to norm op temp being reached is the hardest on an engine.

And they idle for long periods of time also. Not good for mpg.

Sucks I missed this, felt really odd after I found out. I had been messaging him and tagging him at gas stations where diesel was cheap the week after he had passed. I feel bad about it but it's what we did for each other.

Was it a good turn out, any pix I missed it if there were.

I would not have been able to attend being in oregon but just received this notice in my inbox. I have not been here in some time.

My condolences to the family and those that knew this fine fellow.

To those that attended I say well done.
