I'm 3,000 miles away from from a dreaded fuel filter change, so I'll run some Bio through it before I change it. Two birds, one stone....

Fuel filter change isn't that bad! Use the lcf drain plug and find a funnel to catch what drains out

You didn't see what happened with my last one....

I did exactly what you said, but the fuel kept coming and coming until: "Hey I have almost 15 quarts of fuel here!"

On top of that, the driveshaft for the front diff is in the way and leaves me VERY little room to navigate and turn the socket wrench to get the lid off. It was very messy and I really wanted to punch the lights out of the Ford engineer who thought that was a good place to put the HFCM.

Do you or anyone have any suggestions as to how to do this?

Sounds like you need to make sure the tank is 1/2 empty or less and park nose up-hill.

Also, forget the ratchet and socket and use a standard sized filter wrench.

I later realized that was part of my mistaske, the tank was full at the time...

I'll see if I can dig one of those up, now back on topic...

Or use a long extension on your ratchet.

I think these guys summed it up nicely! The long extension sure helps.

Hmm,Would that 6.4 HFCM fit in the 6.0 on the frame the same way???

Thinking is dangerous and I need to stop that.

Different size lines and it doesn't push the pressure the 6.0 HFCM does.

Tried a full tank of B20 and my 6.0 hates it. I felt the power loss not long after I pulled away from the pump. I ran the tank down to empty and while mileage is usually between high 15s and low 17s, it dropped down to 14.

It's probably just Flying J/Conoco B20, but I'll try walmart next time.

In the meantime, I went back to my usual routine of filling up with the normal ULSD and addding Stanadyne Performance Formula Blue label and my truck had more ***** after that.
