1942-47 Parking Lights Measurments???!!!

Can someone please give me an accurate measurement of the parking light. I need outside diameter of the trim ring and inside diameter of the lens itself. I'm trying to get some new LED or Halogen lights for my project and don't have the originals.

I'll measure later today, however your best bet is to go with the originals (lens & ring) and just replace the bulbs with led/halogen style replacement bulbs. They are just the standard bulb socket (3/8" with side pin(s)). I know Classic Haulers sells those bulbs.

Thank you so much! I'm actually doing a very similar paint job to yours on my truck!!! I just need the diameter of the light itself and lens. I may not go stock since I did Halogen Head Lights.

Beautiful work on your truck! You skill set is great!

The light bezels are 3.75" outer diameter, 2.75" inner diameter. The inner diameter measurement is the visible ring edge. It has a 1/16" inch inner bend [lip] (at the lens edge) which lays on the glass making the true inner diameter 2 5/8"

If you need a pict, I can take one for you.

PS. Lens is 2 7/8" total (mostly - manufacturing leaves a little bit to be desired) , 2 3/8" raised area.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day to help. I've always wanted to flame my truck. Black paint job too! Your measurements really helped me because I want to run Halogen or Xenon Lamps as my running lights/turn signals.

Option #1 PIAA
These lights are 3.5" Diameter but I think I can make them work!
Frenching them like this

Thanks Chris. If you're converting to 12v and its not a stock restoration. Why not run modern halogen, LED, or H4 bulbs. Its brighter, better visibility at night, and looks alot more attractive then those old sealed beam head lamps. The park light lens have always reminded me of those glass insulators from rail road tracks lol
