Without going to Ford?

Without going to Ford?
Did a search and it's going to take forever to find my answer so here goes! I have a 1995 f250 that is new to me. When I bought the truck it came with 1 key. My question. Is there any special way to tell if I can get a key-fob for the truck or do I need to take it to Ford? It's an XLT with power windows and locks. I'm pretty sure it was an option in '95, right?
Thanks guys!

First off nice mustang!!
As for the keyless entry there should be the control box situated behind the cubby just to the right of the steering column. If that box is there than it should already be equipped. I was interested in this same thing on mine, but some brainiac installed a cheap aftermarket alarm that replaced it.

Key fob? If your asking about keyless entry you are gonna have to look under your dash right behind the little cubby hole by your right knee. Behind that there will be a black box with a black plug and agree plug with about a dozen or so wires. If you remove the lower dash panel two 8th screws and push in clips right behind the cubby hole look in and you will see it and it will say keyless entry on it. If you do not have that then you have to get an aftermarket system. If you do have It you can go on ebay and buy just the fob and program it yourself.

Once I saw the dummy harness connector holder up there with something plugged into it I figured it wasn't looking good. Good to know that's where the chime comes from though Thanks for the reply.

No I understand what you are saying. There's a dead (dummy) spot to plug a harness connector into right beind the cubby on this truck. I assume ford had a generic harness for these trucks. Mine has a connector (male) that is plugged into it which I assume is for the keyless remote and it goes no where. I'll try to modify the picture and re-post to show what I'm talking about. Thats what made me believe that the now known door chime box wasn't the remote box when I first looked.

I removed my chime box on day one. But the consequences are a complete post landing check list every time of the head lights, key in ignition, etc as with no chime, there is no warning that you are coming back to a dead battery or your keys locked inside, and possibly with the engine still running.
