limited slip differential noise

Well found out what caused my LSD noise when I turn hard left or right. DANA. thy assembled the clutch plates wrong. steel,fiber,steel, steel, fiber, two steel plates together It's hard to find good help these day's.:-staun

Mine unloaded under heavy load this weekend and was very loud, is this normal for the Dana?

No that's what my truck did when I pulled out of the driveway. if you feel any kinda binding or bumping when you leave a stop and turning under a medium throttle you might have the same problem. also check to see if there is any metalflake in the gearlube.
