1997 Ford F250 Alt fuel questions.

Anyone know anything about the late 90's, mines a 97, 460 truck that runs on gas or alt fuel? I have a second brain box and a switch on the dash but none of my local Ford techs know anything about them. Don't know what, if anything, I need to get this running besides a tank. Or if it's worth it.

Any equipment attached to engine or cooling system?
CNG or LPG?

Engine compartment pictures would be great

I'll post some pictures this afternoon. It has a plug in the side of the intake where I'm guessing the propane/CNG went in and an extra Ford computer for the alternative fuel. As well as a switch on the dash, one side says gasoline and the other says alternative fuel.
I'm guessing this was propane but not 100% sure

Here are some pictures. The plug is where I assume the fuel line should go in.

That is an IMPCO CA425M mixer It mixes LPG and air based on airflow/throttle position. and yes the LPG vapor goes in that 1" plug. What i don't see is a vaporizer and a fuelock.
The vaporizer heats the LPG with engine coolant and then regulates it into the mixer on demand. The fuelock is either vacuum or 12 volt and is a positive shut off and a filter.the.
You need both. The Dual Curve is an aftermarket box that allows you to advance engine timing when on LPG. I would google the part number and download the instructions if you dont have them

Thank you Sir. Is it worth it to get this up and running? Or would it be better to pull the extra parts off and return it to stock? I'm just wondering what the fuel mileage, cost per gallon and power is like on LPG.

Mileage will be less than gasoline, power if properly set set will be comparable. For a private vehicle its usually not economically feasible to run LPG unless you have a readily available fuel supply. I would suggest returning to stock, definitely remove the mixer as it is "choking" your air flow on gasoline. PS Cost per gallon is going to depend on your supplier

Thank you Sir. I looked into it and LPG seems to run $3.17 a gallon here and gasoline is $1.89. So paying more for less mileage wouldn't work. :-)
Is there anywhere I can research exactly what I can pull off? I tried googling the mixer but haven't really found a good picture of what it is and most of the returns were for carbed vehicles. I just want to make sure I take everything off. maybe I'll get better gas mileage.

Disconnect the two hoses at the worm gear clamps and remove \ then hook up a stock or after market air filter system. As far as the dual curve you will need to google the instructions and do a reverse install. You can run it as is but it is impacting your gasoline mpg because of restricted air flow

Thank you Sir. Finding a manual online for the Dual Curve is becoming impossible. No one seems to have it.

I also see that the part number on my 7.5L truck is actually for a 6 cylinder. Not sure what to make of that.
