I am in central Iowa and I bought a truck that is set up for CNG and gas. I dont want that big ol' tank in my truck and I want to sell it. It is a type II tank that does not expire unil 2036. I have put up multiple classified ads for it, but nobody responds. where can I sell one of these tanks?

 

What are you asking? Are the other components available? What year truck did it come off of? It's something I was going to look at down the road as I just ordered a truck with the cng upgrade, thanks.

 

I was asking $1100, but I am flexible. It comes with whatever components off my truck you want, as long as it doest compromise the mechanics or asthetics of the truck. I am not very familiar with CNG. I will work with you, but I need it gone.

in NYC trucks have to be inspected for hazmat before going into tunnels....I would love to see the look on their faces when they see that torpedo in the back of my truck.

 

Er... There's a chance I might be interested in that tank.
I should try to see if it would fit my CNG van. I could be being lazy and not reading upside down well, but how big is the tank / capacity?

Is it already removed? Any CNG in it? Will you try to remove it and strip the system of CNG yourself? Was this a factory job or aftermarket?

I have been mostly thinking of converting my rig back to gasoline, as I think CNG tanks are priced insanely for replacement and CNG is a pain in the ***.
(Conversely I may try to sell off all my CNG components as well, undecided).
