Is this door worth saving?

Is this door worth saving? it looks good inside and out except at the bottom. I know for 53-55 doors they make lower door skins and door bottoms. Do they make pieces for 51-52 doors? I am not sure of the condition of the passenger door as I can not get it open since there are bushes growing up against it but it looks better than the drivers side.

It would make a cool wall hanger for the garage......

the door latch, window regulator and vent window frame are worth grabbing if nothing else,

Is that a script flatbed on that truck?

Yes, it is an 8 foot Ford script bed.

I'd say there's a lot of stuff worth saving on that truck. Certainly worth the effort to drag out and disassemble.

That door looks pretty rough, unless you have a lot of patch fabrication/bodywork experience, I'd say let it be and look for some better ones in a drier climate.

It is not for me. I would sell it. It is rough, especially at the bottom. Does anyone make a patch panel for the bottom of the doors for 48-52 like they do for 53-55? I think I can get it cheap but I want to be able to sell it.

thanks!

I've repaired a lot of rusted out parts but this door looks pretty bad. If I'm seeing what I think I'm seeing in the third picture, the front corner is rusted out, I think the door needs way too much work. Good doors are still out there. Some parts are worth salvaging because they are extremely hard to find. If this was a back door of a '48-52 panel truck or a F-1 front fender then I'd say go for it and try to save it, but it's a front door used on 100% of the '48-52 trucks. F-1 fenders were only used on the F-1s and the supply of good F-1 fenders is getting scarce. The same with the panel truck doors.

don't think door is all that good, that would be to much labor alone to fix and have seen better ones for sale on ebay, if all your doing is buying it to fix and resell but I am looking for a pair of those mirror arm

Thanks for the advice on the door, 48-52 guys! I will let the door go for now.

The stuff inside the cab is in a lot better shape. The toolbox above the tank is in great shape. I am going back Sat. morning to get more stuff and walk around the yard.
