2010 Ford Escape rear liftgate won't open

Glass opens fine. Fuses have been checked. Replaced latch and motor assembly. Still no power. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Really? Did you forget to plug in both electrical connectors by any chance? Where did you obtain the new motor and latch assembly?

Thanks for replying. Both connectors were plugged back in. I bought the assembly on ebay from a supplier with over 14000+ feedback. Paid about a $100 for it. It is an OEM part.

And you have B+ and B- present at the liftgate solenoid? If so, you have a defective latch and motor assembly. To be honest, I have yet to see one in all of the ones I've replaced.

What you're asking goes beyond my limited knowledge. Where would I locate the liftgate solenoid?

The liftgate solenoid IS part of the latch. You know the little motor that pulls that lever to open the liftgate? You should have B+ and B- present with the button pressed.

Sorry I haven't replied in a while. Had to put this on the back burner until now. I get nothing. Would I need to replace the release switch?
