400 adjustable valvetrain

I need another opinion on this. I have had my heads machined for adjustable rockers(btw I'm running scorpion 1.73s) and guide plates. I have everything necessary for this to work. My lunati cam spec card says valve adjustment 0.00 inches. Does this refer to valve lash being set at zero lash, no preload?

No, it means it's a hydro cam so it does not have lash. It has to have preload though .020 -.060.

. 1 turn usually spec'd on a stock engine for reliability...

. 1/2 turn is more likely to never need to be adjusted again on a performance engine than 1/4 turn...

. 1/4 turn limits how much the lifter can 'pump up' if over revved... and it recovers faster from pump up...

. Sometimes I go 1/8 turn on a hyper engine, but has to been done very precisely...

. Depends on how brave you are, your intended usage, how willing to back in for another re-adjust, etc...
