Power Steering Bracket I.D.?

Does anyone know what vehicle/model this ps bracket came off of? I bought it off ebay recently and was curious. I have heard bronco? It should still work on a 1970 351c right? Anyone have pics of the same one on their engine?

Thanks.

My guess is an FE by looking at the pump itself, which would only be a power assist. My Mercury 221 doesn't have the tightening nut on the end like the Fe's and 335 (to clarify with Mark's post, 351M/400 only) series engines have. I guess it could be from a 385 series, but I'll stick with FE.

351M-400 pump brackets do not interchange with 351C. 351M-400 are draw style, 351C is a swing style.

That stinks...I thought this would work on my 351 2v. The ebay seller stated that he took it off his running 351c 4v and thinks it origionally came off a 70's bronco. Was he full of it? I know ebay sellers can sometimes be creative with their ads so I guess I can't be too suprized. It was only $25 for the pump and bracket with buy it now so I don't feel too bad. If it turns out to not fit, I can always relist it on craigslist or ebay...I would still like to know for sure what it is for so I can save the next guy a headache! Thanks for the comments so far.

I liked this one because of the nut adjust on the side...all of the other used pumps I found had big dents in them from crowbars being to used to tighten it on the swing style bracket.

Saw this one on ebay that looks close...the black one does not have the adjusting bolt like the blue one I bought. There are subtle differences but it is close.

This ebay ad says:

This is a set of power steering brackets for a Ford F Series truck with a 351 W. These will work the the F 100, F150, F200 and F 250. These brackets will also work for a number of other applications.

I emailed just to see what "other applications" it would work on...kinda having some major doubts now!

Havi, here is one for sale for an FE, just for comparison

No truck before the early 80's had a 351W, so it would be limited to a fairly new truck. The PS pump cap itself is a plastic flat-top unlike the one in your pics (Also the 351M/400 had the flat cap). The old dipstick style like yours is from an older style truck, and that would mean an FE or maybe a 302. I just looked at all of my engines, and the bracket you have is indeed a 351W or 302. The 351W I have is from a '76 Torino car. But as I stated, no truck had a 351W stock back then. Definitely not a 351M/400, as they had only one right side horizontal bolt hole that sits back further than the left side.

OK, the FE is different, as IIRC it makes sense now, lol. But indeed the one shown is for a 302/351W. I would suspect a Cleveland style one would be unique to that engine. Maybe a company like AutoKrafters or Dennis Carpenter (or any hot rod type catalog) would have the bracket?

Thanks for the help folks...
I am just going to sell this one as a 351W/302 and keep my eyes peeled for another pump and bracket. There are a few on ebay but I bet I can find another deal somewhere...Its not like I need it now anyway!
This is what my engine looks like as of right now...power steering is the least of my worries

power steering pump bracket

Can you please contact me & let me know where you bought your power steering pump bracket? Would you sell it to me or post the link to where you got it. Please, I've been really having a hard time finding this exact part.
