Those little Flag-Mirrors suck
The 99-07 TowMirrors are a direct replacement & in fact the 08+ Mirrors are also a direct bolt-on (not positive if u have to change any wiring or not).
I have the stock 06' Tow-Mirrors on mine but alot of people here upgrade to the 08 style so iam sure someone will chime in for u.

tow mirrors

Just replaced those useless flag/sail mirrors on my 2004 F350 dually with the 08 upgrade! Best money I have spent, as of yet.
Unless you have an XL only, the wiring (rectangular clip) is already there for replacement tow mirrors including the 08 upgrade with clearance light, turn signals and heat. Ford wired all the superduty trucks (except XL) from 99 - 07 for this and used a three wire connector from the rectangular door harness plug to the mirrors for directional switch. Ford got smart in 08 and wired the harness connector to match the mirror spec on the trucks build sheet.
The 99 -07 replacement mirrors are great compared to the little sail mirrors, but the 08 upgrade is even better with the light, signal & heat. The most important 08 upgrade is the fabulous, large lower paddle mirror for the blind spot. Got mine from 1aauto and they even send the 3 wire connector in the event you want to limit yourself to not having light, signal & heat (haha). Unless you have an XL only truck you simply plug in the replacement mirrors and magic happens, no rewiring, pin swaps or anything but plug & play!
Anyone wanting a good set of the sail mirrors & willing to pay shipping, let me know w/pm otherwise they are going to the trash can.

So which mirrors did you take off. If they are tow mirrors I would pay the shipping.

tow mirrors

On the 2004 F350 6.0L dually, I replaced the little sail mirrors (they are not towing mirrors) with the 08 upgrade towing mirrors.
Later this year (probably Aug r Sept) I will be replacing my 2001 F350 5.4L dually towing mirrors with the 08 upgrade w/light, signal, heat & the larger (much wider view) lower paddle mirror. If you're still looking then, I'll make you a deal + shipping (great shape, but the larger paddle & view I need/want when hauling my 43' horse trailer).
Back to the original thread, replace those original sail mirrors, you won't be sorry. I didn't know Anthony carried those at the time or I would have definitely bought them from him.
