3.5L Ecoboost New Misfire Fix TSB Jan 2014
So Ford has finally come up with a calibration they believe will fix the misfire issues during damp rainy conditions. This new TSB was released the end of January. The best part about it is that they want us to take off all those air blocking plates from past tsb's which should bring back the coolers efficiency. Now this is only for the 2013-2014 models but hopefully soon enough there will be the same calibration fix for the 2011-2012 F150's. I also clarify the air cooler engineering numbers for all model years!

This is great news, I have a '13 with the upper deflector, and what looks like a lower scoop looking thing that is actually part of the airdam. I live in Northern California, where humidity is not an issue, and where the misfire is unlikely to happen but would like to get the updated tune, and have the full effectiveness of my intercooler.
Do you know if they will perform the TSB on a truck, that does not have the misfire, but has the blocking plates? Also, does the new TSB restore the claimed "de-tuned" portion of the programming people say the '13+ trucks have?

What will be interesting is to see what the new flash brings. Since the Ford's have larger turbos there is potential for more power. Maybe Ford will not only give them back the power of the earlier model trucks but actually increase it. Like getting a free tune
