Need a little brain power for SCA treatment..

Morning, I tested my "lime green" (dunno what it is) coolant the other day and came up w:
1. -10 Freeze point
2. Row 2, SCA units per gallon
3. B for nitrate
So, this puts me in the 1.0 where row 2 intersects meets nitrate B.
Am I correct in understanding that I need to add 4 pints of DCA4 based on the Fleetguard instructions? Or should I be adding something else?? Thanks guys!

No, two pints. "One pint per four gallons of coolant". The cooling system holds eight gallons, so you need two pints. Drive for a while and test again (dang test strips aren't cheap...).

Four pints would be about what you'd add to brand new coolant with NO SCA.

Thanks! Question: powerstroke supplemental manual says cooling system holds 22l or 5.5 gallons... No? Can I add this stuff?

I've seen that number, too. Maybe that was based on the early style radiator with the external recovery tank. Is your truck a '94.5 or early '95?
