Want to lower my 57" f100

Anyone know where I could find lowering kits for my 57' f100. My friend told me I could flip the leaf springs in the back? I'm not too sure about these kinds of thing. Could someone help me? Thanks!

I'm going with a dropped front axle from Nostalgia Sid (Dropped axle Axles Axel). He does a lot of these axles and I've seen his set-up in person - he does it right. You're correct for the rear drop, however, I'm looking at relocating the front spring hangar instead. This option may give me the drop I'm looking for without having to c-notch the frame or modify my bed for axle clearance.

^^ same thing I am doing-also going to reverse the front eye of rear leaf spring along with flipping hanger. this should total 5-5 1/2" drop.

you can also use the search feature and find many MANY articles on how to lower. Best of luck

Joe -

You still need to put the spring under for the 5 1/2" drop, correct - i.e. it's not just reversing the eye?

If Im correct, you will need to flip front spring hanger and reverse front eye...that should give you 5-5 1/2" depending where you mount the front hanger on the frame. Im doing the 3" drop axle in front and it should sit level after doing drop this way-hoping, can always adjust front by removing leafs. I am also thinking of air shocks in back in case I ever have to use this truck for dump run or hauling a bike around-it is still a truck. I would have it done, but loaned a buddy the $$$ I was going to use for the drop--don't want to get into savings and **** off the red-headed Irish woman that is my wife!
