Question oil & fuel pressure ports

Hi Guys,
If utilizing the existing port on the engine mounted fuel filter assembly to accommodate installation of 100 psi gauge, do I need to empty the fuel from the filter housing and refill when done?
Is there a port on the oil system of the 6.0 to accommodate installation of psi gauge without having to tap a line?
Thanks for your help!

You might want to empty the secondary filter housing or it's going to drain when you install the sender. AFA refilling it the system will take care of that when you cycle the key 3 or 4 times and let the fuel pump time out.

Not sure why you want an oil PSI gauge on the truck? If it loses lube oil pressure it will shut down pretty fast anyway.

Adding the oil pressure gauge to fill up the 4 pod pillar mount with 1. EGT; 2. fuel pressure; 3. oil pressure and; 4. voltage. Got the scangauge II for every thing else I can understand. SCII monitor set on EOT, EWT, TFT & EBP. Any idea of where I can port the oil pressure sensor? Thanks for your help!
PS. I really love the FORD acronym!

You could remove the existing oil pressure sender and use that port, but your dash gauge wouldn't work

Is there such a thing as a t-fitting for the oem sending unit that would allow me to connect both the pod gauge and the dash unit?

You could use a brass tee and some elbows. But it would set pretty high and be vulnerable to being knocked off and look pretty Hookie

Why do you want a low side oil gauge. SG2 will monitor the HPOP side and that's the more important one. I think a much more usefully gauge for you would be a 0 to 30 psi gauge on your Coolant system. You could watch how fast it drops psi after shut down to monitor leaks, such as in your EGR Cooler. And watch for pressure spikes while your driving to alert you to a blown head gasket. I have one installed under my hood and don't use it all the time but it's nice to have it to check every once in a while.

You can get voltage and boost from the SGII also, but I much prefer an analog boost gauge to digital and a cooling system pressure gauge is a great idea.

Do you happen to have the inputs for the HPOP for the SGII? Couldn't find it on the website or the Xgauge commands. Thanks.

I'm at work right now, but unless I miss my guess NCPartsman will come thru like a Knight in Shining Armor!!! Your looking for icp Ipr icpv and ipr%. Ipr is injector pressure regulator, icp is injector control pressure, both are associated with hpop

Use the oil pressure gauge for Degas pressure. Sure the gauge face will say oil pressure, but Degas PSI is nice to know.

you "could" use a single pressure gauge with appropriate switch to display FUEL or OIL or Degas pressures, just get 3 of the same style sender units wire them up such that the switch connects the one you want and viola..
