Cleaned up the dash of my truck

Hows it going all. Well as i always said the biggest problem with our old trucks is the PO. Well I decided to clean up the hack job wiring and gauge install in my lower dash today and i figured i'd share so here you go.

Looks nice. What do the switches do? I've always liked the "upfitter switches" in the new trucks, but…I don't have any use for them really.

Great job installing the switch panel! What do the guarded switches do?

Only thing I think you could do better on is the round gauge in a square mounting. That's just me though. Maybe cut that molded piece out and make another aluminum panel like you did for the switches?

And yeah, the biggest problem usually IS the PO. I *really* hate it when I get a new truck home and dig into it only to find those #?*!@! blue scotch-lock/t-tap/whatever-those-atrocious-things-are-called wire splices! THOSE things should've never been invented. Or like my truck... the PO pretended to know how to weld and ended up just making a mess. I ain't a pro welder, nor do I claim to be a great amateur welder, but my welds clean up nice and hold together. His welds looked like a 2 year old sneezed boogers all over them... and most of them were cold.

The left switch is my HID day-lighters the center is my side/rear work lights and the right switch is for my strobe heads on the rear. I agree about the gauge but the built in supports of the trim piece make cutting it out trouble prone. Thanks for the compliments though.
