Question on Stand Pipe

I replace the dummy plugs and stand pipes about 15,000 miles ago. Last week when I took the driver side oil rail out the stand pipe was taken out in one piece. this week, trying to check the rough idle and #2, #8 Injectors according to Ford Scope. The stand pipe came off with the top piece, the bottom piece is still stuck in the head.

Do I need to replace the stand pipe when it came apart, or still can reuse/reinstall after the injectors work?

Thanks,

You can still reuse it. They will seperate. Its easier getting the rail out with it in 2 pieces.

There is a tool that is available to remove the lower half if need be.
But you can reuse it. Just inspect the seals to make sure they are ok.

You mean the O-ring?

Yep.
But it a D-ring. Unlike an O-ring that is round
the D-ring is flat on one side.

What your looking for is cuts and abrasions to the rubber.
