1997 ford f350 crew cab 7.3 diesiel
Hello I am in need of help in a bad way, my truck is at a hunting camp and I need to get it home. I have the 2nd relay in the engine compartment fuse box buzzing and no wait to start light. I can get a wait to start light by pulling one of the 20 amp fuses in that fuse box and the truck will run. I am changing the glow plug relay right now and I have checked all the fuses. If anyone has any ideas please help. I get no internet service in our camp so I might not be able to read any responced until tomorrow when I come out of camp.
Thanks

Actually it had two or 3 problems. The glow plug relay was bad, the alternator was bad not charging the batteries. It was 9 degrees at camp and problems just multiply when its that cold out. How I got it to run by pulling one of the fuses is beyond me but I will find out. I did try to unplug the fuel bowl heater and checked and swapped fuses and relays. These 7.3 are a pain in the rear without good batteries and cold weather. They have to be plugged in. The truck drove the 900 miles home without a problem after I got it running. No fun at all.
