Hey guys i usually hang in the 7.3 forum. My son in-law has a 06 6.0 that has the CEL on so i scanned it for him and came up with these codes. Any help on where to look would be appreciated.

 

Does he have 4 wheel drive? What year?

 

Sorry, yes it is a 4X4 and it is a 2006 auto trans.

 

Out of all the codes you listed, the only one I have personal experience with is the P0460.what it boils down to is his fuel level float in the fuel tank is sticking. It is more than likely caused from corrosion. Have your son in law remove his gas cap and wrap a clean white rag around his finger. Then. Wipe the inside of the fill pipe to see if it comes out rusty. The good news is the gas tanks are plastic and the only parts effected are the fill pipe and the fuel sender slider rod.to correct the situation he can either replace the fuel sender for around $500 or he can do the following.
At each fill up add a mixture of one cup DieselKleen and one cup of Ashless 2 Stroke Motor Oil. Not only will this mixture quiet down and lube his Injectors but it will also lube the slider rod in the tank. Since using this in my truck my P0460 hasn't come back for two years. Hopefully someone else can help with the other codes.

Thanks Tim I will let him know. I use the 2 stroke oil in mine but it's used to lube the injectors.

 

When u do your code search, check the box for "Current Codes" this will only read codes that are current

1. P0460 code hasn't been gone 2 yrs. But 6 months
2. For 3 or 4 months I ran a mixture of 50/50 DieselKleen & Tranny Fluid
just wanted to keep the record straight!!!
